Rainbows

by Elise Harter

Today the sky changed colour,

From blue, to grey, to gold.

At times the sun shone oh so bright,

Yet the wind blew oh so cold.

At times we saw a rainbow,

An arch high in the sky,

Raindrops fell as the sun moved in,

Painting as birds flew by.

I saw you in the colour,

In the ever-changing light.

I saw you at the rainbow's end,

Sparkling oh so bright.
