Author's Micro-bio
On 13 August 2009, Bridge House published Elise's very first story. Her adaptation of Noah's Ark, 'Noah and the Caterpillars', is featured in an anthology of alternative Bible stories entitled, 'Disasters and Miracles: How it Might Have Been'.
Narrated in the present tense by our hero, Charlie the Caterpillar, Elise's story provides an original, 'real time' perspective on a well known Bible story.
Not only does 'Noah and the Caterpillars' draw inspiration from one of the great Bible stories or, in the words of Andrew Motion, "an essential piece of cultural luggage", it also aims to raise funds for two environmental charities.
As an act of solidarity with Charlie, Elise will donate 50% of her earnings from this publication to the environmental charity, Butterfly Conservation and 50% to the Green Belt Movement.
